What the Research and Training Section Does

The Research and Training section works with all stakeholders to provide collective bargaining research and labor relations training as mandated by statute. The purpose of the Research and Training Section is to provide stakeholders with training, information, and statistics that may be useful for the employer and employee organizations.

The Research and Training section:  

  • Maintains the Clearinghouse database which stores public sector collective bargaining agreements. 
  • Responds to Clearinghouse database requests. 
  • Maintains the SERB website. 
  • Produces annual reports and publications. 
    • SERB Annual Report. 
    • Cost of Health Insurance in Ohio’s Public Sector. 
    • Wage Settlement Report. 
    • Training resources and guides. 
  • Hosts training events and seminars for SERB and SPBR. 
    • Conferences. 
      • Fact-Finding Conference. 
      • SERB Academy. 
      • SPBR Conference. 
    • Seminars. 
      • Advanced Labor Negotiations. 
      • Practical Negotiations.
